Gail Sheehy, along with Dr. Patricia Yarberry-Allen, is a Founder of the New York  Menopause Research Foundation.  

She is a world-renowned author.  Her original landmark work, Passages, made history—remaining on the New York Times bestseller list for more than three years and appearing in 28 languages. 

In a subsequent book, the Silent Passage, Sheehy went on to break the taboo surrounding menopause and opened a national dialogue on the subject.

Other important works include New Passages: Mapping Your Life Across Time, Understanding Men’s Passages, Pathfinders and her most recent work, Hillary’s Choice, an exploration into the life of one of the nation’s most intriguing women, Hillary Clinton.

Sheehy is a six-time recipient of the New York Newswomen’s Club Front Page Award for distinguished journalism.  Other honors include the National Magazine Award, the Penny-Missouri Journalism Award and the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award in Race Relations.  

She frequently appears on national TV and radio, addressing everything from lifecycle changes to the country’s political landscape as seen from a psychological perspective.
